about

Fitting in is quite difficult.

lyrics

Looking up at shrouded twinkles, the night sky dies in an orange glow
Crickets cry a desperate act while dismal humming drowns out their song
A blinking display of artificial stars, all of them are attached by plugs
The air is thick, machines run low, this modern tomb is all you know

I just wasn’t made for these times

On crowded streets, they all convene in a civil organized chaos
The man in his ride, thinks he’s king boss, oh what could make him think that is so
It’s all the same inside all these dens, cathedral monuments to waste and excess
The room is full, no place to go, this modern tomb is all you know

I just wasn’t made for these times

Sit tight now and watch it all go down, this machine ain’t got no off switch in sight
We’re all affixed to screens, like assembly lines, it’s a soulless equation
Overpopulated, and somehow at the same time we’re just as much a dying race
Culture crumbles into ephemeral ash and no one seems to care
It’s a joke
Worshipping the plastic gods, they don’t know any better
Being unique individuals, that’s a fate worse than death.
Don’t stray the pack, or break the mold, this modern tomb is all you know

Nobody is perfect, no body is perfect
Your body’s imperfect, somebody once said
Don’t you come lookin here, when you’re lookin here for that
Why aren’t you in love with the look of perfection?

I just wasn’t made for these times

Let them run, let them run, let them run and hold their ears, ain’t nobody gonna listen
Not a one, not a one, not a one from all of them, none of them has got a reason.
Let them run, let them run, let them run, let them run
Not a one, not a one, not a one, ain’t nobody gonna listen
